COURAGEOUS FAITH, BY PASTOR FESTUS

"Believers love boat - Pst Festus"
Courageous Faith;
"Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them" - Joshua 1:6.
An online free dictionary defines courage as "The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, an act of bravery.
Where do you find your courage? The strongest courage that we can possibly experience comes from faith in God. We find courage when we trust in His power, in His character, in His promises, and in His Word. When our faith is in the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent God, what should we fear?
Courage is one of the greatest manifestations of faith. Courageous faith is confident that God cannot and will not make a mistake. Courageous faith knows that God cannot be wrong. Courageous faith is confident that God can never be defeated.
Read Hebrews 11:30-40. This section of the passage lists several biblical heroes who demonstrated great courage: "who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and defeated foreign armies" (Hebrews 11:33-34).
I have a word for a reader today; there's no fear in your fear, take a bold step into that seemingly world of the unknown and possess your possession in Jesus name!
Pray with me; lord deliver me from all forms of stagnating fear in Jesus name!
Have a blessed and beautiful day in Jesus name!

COURAGEOUS FAITH 2

"Believers love boat - Pst Festus"
Courageous Faith - 2
"Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them" - Joshua 1:6.
Sometime courageous faith leads to dangerous situations. The people listed in this passage did not always conquer the enemy without any injuries. "Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground" (Hebrews 11:36-38)
Even if we experience persecution or hardships because of our faith, we know that God has the ultimate victory. As this passage highlights, God gave His people the victory over the fortified walls of Jericho.
He used the least likely people, including a pagan prostitute, to bring about His plans and victories. Gideon was greatly outnumbered, yet he conquered the enemies. Barak trusted in God's plan and he defeated the enemy. Samson accepted God's call and delivered the Israelites from the Philistines. Jephthah trusted in the power of God, and God gave him the victory. David was able to defeat Goliath because he trusted in the one true God of Israel. Samuel fought the unfaithfulness of God's children and called a nation to repentance. Prophets like Daniel, who closed the mouths of lions, trusted God and triumphed.
I believe we can do same and even more, we can engage the enemy through faith in the victory procured for us by His blood, we just need to be courageous in all our faith adventures.
Pray with me; Lord, by your shed blood for me, I overcome all demonic opposition contending with my advancement in life in Jesus name!
Have a victorious week in Jesus name!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

GODS WORD FOR TODAY, BY PASTOR CHRIS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 29TH JUNE.
TAKE YOUR PLACE IN THE MINISTRY OF THE GOSPEL.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:7-8).
As you study the Bible, you’ll find that God never arrogated absolutely to Himself, all the powers of change for human lives. He never told us, for example, that He was going to win souls by Himself. He told us to do that. He told us to heal the sick; He didn’t say, “Ask me to do it; or pray for me to do it”; no! He lets us know that it’s our responsibility, but we function with His authority. What a blessing!
The Bible says, “And they (the disciples) went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen” (Mark 16:20). This is what is happening in our day! As we preach the Gospel, the Lord confirms our message. Signs and wonders take place!
Get bold for Christ. Preach the Gospel with passion, and as you do, the Lord will confirm His Word with signs following. We have something to give to the world; it’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recall again what the Lord said: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely also give (Matthew 10:8). He has given us both the power and authority to do mighty works in His Name and effectively demonstrate the character of the Spirit to our world.
Therefore, take your place in the ministry of the Gospel. Preach the Gospel with boldness.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I rejoice that you counted me faithful to be a minister of reconciliation, and an effective partner with you in evangelizing the world, thus impacting many lives with the blessings of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Now hear this: Mary wasn't the only virgin in Bethlehem, Judea or Israel but she attracted an angelic visitation.
She asked the same question with Zechariah the Priest, "how shall this be" but went unpunished.
By the standard and status of her husband Joseph as a member of the Royal family of King David, she should be barnished and disgraced. But she wasn't disgraced by another angelic visitation this time to her husband.
When an angel visit a family once, it's one of those things but twice in same month means certainty, deliberate and a calculated attempt to favour that family.
May the same FAVOUR that located the family of Joseph twice in a month locate your family again and again continually before the end of this month. May the grace that exempted mary from disgrace to favour locate you this month.
May a royal favour of announcement and greatness locate your family, business, career, ministry and establishment with certainty as you join me and my family to celebrate my born day today in Jesus name, let me hear a louder Ameeeeeeeeeen!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Misery is an option. If you want to continue to be miserable, then keep thinking things that make you miserable. Or you can learn to think the way God thinks about you and talks about you in His Word. -Joyce

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Have you noticed that God never really choose the perfect people. He choose people who were not so perfect even when they did not believe in themselves. David was but a shepherd boy that was not even considered or qualified as to be presented for Kingship. Joseph was a slave boy. Moses the stammering former royalty. Rehab the harlot! Saul the Christian slayer!!!! And many more. Sinach who never felt qualified ... So you better square up your shoulders and believe in my God who qualifies those whom He has called.SINACH

GOD'S WORD FOR TODAY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MONDAY, 22ND JUNE.
AN INEVITABLE KEY FOR SUCCESS.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (Proverbs 22:29).
The opening verse shows us a key ingredient for a successful and prosperous life—diligence! Some people find themselves in a regrettable state in life due to their inability to apply diligence in their lives, and in the things that
God has called them to do.
The Lord Jesus was humbly diligent; He said in John
4:34, “...my meat is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.” He recognized that His success was in doing the work of the Father, and finishing it. He knew the importance and eternal significance of His assignment, and committed Himself to it with extraordinary discipline and diligence.
There’re people who never finish or complete anything that’s committed to them; and there’re others who are perpetually late to their workplace or come up with excuses for non-performance. Yet, such people wonder why things aren’t working out right for them, or why they aren’t being promoted. The reason for their predicament is simple: they slothfully ignore the application of diligence in their everyday life. Diligence is a key factor that sparks off true success in you. I’m talking about the God-kind of success; not the world’s definition of success.
Diligence brings you before kings and into honour, while slothfulness leads to poverty and obscurity. Diligent people make their organizations more successful and prosperous than the way they met it. That’s one of the hallmarks of truly successful people. Become diligent in anything and everything that’s committed to your trust.
A close look at the lives of successful men and women around the world, no matter what field of endeavour they belong to, will reveal one common factor in their lives—diligence. The same thing applies to things of the Spirit. As you diligently study the Word of God and apply it, it enriches your spirit; you become successful in your spirit, and your fellowship with the Lord is enhanced.
CONFESSION
I function with the ability of the Spirit always, not just in my desire and readiness to start up any endeavour, but also in bringing them to excellent fruition. I’m assured of a life of honour, dignity, and glory, because I apply diligence in every area of life. Halleluiah!

CONTENTMENT IN ALL THINGS

"Believers love boat - Par Festus"
Contentment in all things
"Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for God Himself has said, 'I will never desert you, nor will I forsake you.'" - Hebrews 13:5
Contentment is difficult to define. The dictionary definition says that contentment is satisfaction; but then it defines satisfaction as happiness. We continue going round and round with each word defining the other, yet it’s really telling us almost nothing about what contentment actually is.
If someone says they are content, sometimes we just think they are lazy. Or we figure they are underachievers. Or maybe they are simply incompetent and are using “contentment” as their excuse for not doing more with their life.
But Paul certainly didn’t fit into any of those categories. He was a forward thinker, a visionary, and a leader. At one time he had material wealth and prestige, but then had everything stripped away from him. He went from a life of wealth to one of service. Yet, he talked about learning to be content in life, regardless of circumstances. Paul explains, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity.”
God knows that we have a constant desire for more. For some reason, we are wired that way. But He reminds us to be content with the blessings He has given us and the ways He has blessed our lives.
When we are not content, we turn our backs on what God has given us and then miss what He is doing in our lives! Discontentment causes us to focus on our what we want. Contentment allows us to discover God’s plans for us.
Pray with me; lord teach me the art of spiritual contentment in Jesus name!
May your week be blessed in Jesus name.

DISCERNMENT SERIES 3

"Believers love boat - Pst Festus"
Discernment series 3 - 1John 4:1
As we said yesterday, there is also a lot of "peer pressure" involved as well. Everyone seems to be getting the "divine touch", "I shouldn't be left out of this anointing moving in this meeting", and then you throw away your alarm bells trying to warn you.
So how do you avoid being deceived in this way?
1. Very simply, you do not go along to these meetings in a "gullible" frame of mind. And you do not allow yourself to be carried along with the crowd. You listen carefully to the preaching and make sure that it truly is Biblical. Then you watch the ministry happening down the front of the meeting and discern whether it really is of God or not.
2. You do not "override" any feelings of unease or any 'alarm bells' going off inside you. And you do not allow yourself to be swayed by 'peer pressure'. Even if the whole church is out there on the podium, it does not mean that you have to. If you do not feel quite "right" about it then DO NOT GET INVOLVED. If you need to, make some excuse and get out of there! You do not have to get involved in things that do not feel spiritually "right" to you.
A lot of people today will go down the front to get "imparted" by almost every visiting speaker - almost as a matter of course. I tell you, in today's climate this can be a very dangerous thing to do. In fact, some of this 'impartation' business has no Scriptural backing. Who knows what on earth these preachers are imparting? And who knows where they picked it up? I tell you, deceiving spirits are commonplace today, and I believe they are being imparted to Christians on a large scale.
Pray with me; lord sharpen my discernment in Jesus name!
A blessed day!

GODS WORD FOR TODAY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES THURSDAY, 18TH JUNE.
THE BEAUTY OF CHRISTIANITY.
For it has pleased God to tell his people that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. For this is the secret: Christ lives in you… (Colossians 1:27 NLT).
Christianity is the living, pulsating life of God in a human person; it’s Christ at home in you. Christianity is divinity at work and alive in and through you; it’s the relationship between a human being and a living God.
Christianity isn’t a religion at all. Religion is man’s work towards God; his ways and efforts to reach out to God. Christianity, on the other hand, is God’s work in man. It’s a call to oneness with Divinity; a walk with God in righteousness; a call to the transcendent life of glory and love. Colossians 1:27 says Christ in you, the hope of glory. That’s Christianity: Christ alive in you.
Someone once said, “I’m now very religious, since I became a Christian”; no! That’s a complete misunderstanding of who a Christian is. A Christian is one in whom God dwells; a partaker of the divine nature—an associate of the God-kind. This makes Christianity so sublime! God wasn’t satisfied to merely be with or live amongst us, He chose rather to take up His abode in the quarters of our hearts! That’s the beauty and glory of Christianity! It’s the life of God lived out through you. It’s the unveiling of the Living Word in a human life!
Until and unless this becomes your understanding of Christianity, all you have will be mere religion. The essence of Christianity, the reason we go to church, pray, preach the Gospel and do the things we do as Christians isn’t because we’ve embraced a religion, but because we’ve received God’s nature—His life. That’s what Jesus brought to us. He made it possible for us to receive eternal life—the indomitable, impregnable, “uninfectable” life of God: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12).
CONFESSION
I’m an associate of the God-kind, the effulgence of God’s glory, and the dispenser of His goodness! I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ; therefore, the world belongs to me. Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world. I’m the glory of God!

JESUS was national news. When Pilate handed Christ over to a death squad it wasn't for spreading hopelessness. Jesus was too dangerously fascinating. He created too much excitement. "All the world has gone out after Him” said His jealous enemies (John 12:19). But, "The common people heard Him gladly."(Mark 12:37) Police came to arrest Him but were captivated by Him. They explained "Nobody ever talked like this Man." (John 7:46) His words are eternal life. This is the Jesus we love and worship. God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE

The woman, who emptied her only wealth upon Christ with a bottle of precious ointment, shocked the disciples with such immodest abundance, but it delighted Jesus (John 12,8). GODS WORD FOR TODAY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TUESDAY, 16TH JUNE.
THINK FRESH, THINK SUCCESS!
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11 AMP).
Part of the reason young people can be very successful, where older people fail, is that many young people don’t know enough to be afraid. Most older people know too much; they have too much information about what doesn’t work. They remember when they tried out something and it failed, and so they became cynical. It’s a lot harder to inspire such people to make a fresh move or have a fresh start.
Understand that being old in this context isn’t so much about a person’s age, but about the state of his mind. Your body might age, but refuse to age in your mind. Think fresh; think success. God loves to use young people, because they think fresh all the time; they easily believe, and are always passionate about learning something new.
It’s never too late to learn and be inspired by a dream of success. Even if you’re already grey-headed and advanced in years, God can still use you. Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, and at that age, he was still strong and vibrant. The Bible says, “...His eyesight was sharp; he still walked with a spring in his step” (Deuteronomy 34:7 MSG).
What will you be like when you’re ninety-two? I can tell, if you put this message to work: You won’t be crying that nothing works. Instead, you’ll be the one teaching and imparting faith to the younger generation. You’ll be changing lives with the Gospel, speaking in tongues, prophesying, and speaking words of faith by the power of the Holy Spirit!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for stirring my heart with your Word to gain the right inspiration! My mind is anointed to see and accept possibilities. I’m energized and aglow in my spirit to impact the world of my time, through supernatural ideas inspired in me by your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GODS WORD FOR TODAY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **He Anoints And Sends Men** Monday, June 15th . Pastor Chris
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John... (John 1:6-7).
There're people who say God doesn't send anybody; He only sends angels; no! Our opening verse says, "There was a man sent from God...." If He sent men in Bible days, He still does today, because He hasn't changed.
When people pray for a revival in a city or for the salvation of souls, God doesn't come down from heaven Himself to make it happen; He sends a man. Always, He anoints and sends a man when He needs to help men. To save the world, He sent Jesus in the form of a man. When He wanted to bring joy to the city of Samaria, He sent Philip (Acts 8:5-8).
Hosea 12:13 says, "And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved". Notice that He didn't do it through angels; why through a prophet? The reason is that the anointing of God is primarily borne by man, who is made in the image and likeness of God. God anoints the man or woman that He sends to you, and expects you to recognize that anointing, because it's for your benefit
For example, the man of God or Pastor that God sends to you bears the anointing for your benefit. As the Pastor stands in that office and functions in it, that anointing will work through him, to bless you. It's the Spirit's calling on his life, but it's the Spirit's blessing for you. This is one reason you must be a functional member of a Church where the Word of God is taught.
When you come into Christ, God sends you a man of God - one He has anointed to nurture you through His Word and provide you with pastoral guidance. Such a man is anointed to bring you God's message that'll guide your life against any odds. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says, "...Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper". Even if you were in trouble, the counsel (of God) from the man sent to you from God will get you out of that situation, and establish you on the right path.
PRAYER
Thank you Father, for I have a willing and obedient heart that faithfully follows your instructions. Your Word is my life, and I'm continually guided and kept in the way of righteousness, through the power of your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

GODS WORD FOR TODAY

"Believers love boat - Pst Festus"
Discernment Series; - 1John 4:1
Some people say that simply knowing the Scriptures is the best key to discernment. But this is not always the case. The Scribes and Pharisees were extrememly learned in the Scriptures and yet they missed the very Messiah that was prophesied! So knowing the Bible is good, but it is not the sole key to discernment.
Some of the most basic keys to discernment that God has shown me are as follows:

(1) Know your HOLY GOD intimately. (-When you have seen His glory, His holiness and His love - by drawing close to Him in prayer - then you can usually see through any "counterfeits" because you know the 'real thing' so well).
(2) Be a "lover of truth". This is very crucial. Are you someone who will actually stand up for TRUTH - even against the crowd? Or do you remain silent even when you feel something is very wrong?
(3) Humility. (-For where pride is on display, deception is sure to follow).
(4) The 'inner witness' of the Holy Spirit. We must learn to NEVER over-ride this "still small voice", as it will save us from deception again and again. (-More on this below).
Did you know that even an unbeliever can often spot a 'con-man' or a fraudster? They get a kind-of "gut feeling" about such things. And they are often right! In fact, they are often less gullible than the Christians! (-Because we are told in the church- "Do not judge", 'Touch not the Lord's anointed', "You have a critical spirit if you do not join in", etc, etc. This is the very reason why Christians are often the most gullible and easily deceived).
We need to realize that the Bible says to "Test the spirits" and warns very strongly that the Last Days will be a time of "seducing spirits" and great deception. So how can we become more alert to these things?
Pray with me; Lord help me to recover in full my ability to discern in Jesus name!
May your day be full of joy in Jesus name!

GODS WORD FOR TODAY

"Believers love boat"
Discernment Series 2
I believe that God has placed within every human being at least a measure of an inner "warning system" to protect us from being easily deceived - just as He has given us all a conscience. It is something that He has built into every one of us, in His mercy.
But what I have found again and again with people who give themselves over to some form of deception is that they often "override" these inner alarm bells. They go against their 'better judgement'. They ignore the little voice deep inside them that is telling them that there is something wrong. Christians do this all the time. That is how they get themselves involved in such foolish deceptions.
If only people would listen to these internal 'alarm bells' and act with common sense, half of it would be gone overnight.
The Bible is very clear that the Last Days are a time of such widespread deception that it would "deceive if possible the very elect". It also shows that much of this deception will arise from WITHIN the church - luring believers with "itching ears". Do we see evidence of this kind of thing taking place today? Certainly! In fact, some of it is at a level that is truly shocking. And yet it is all accepted as perfectly "normal" by many Christians.
One of the problems, of course, is that those who bring in these deceptions are 'trusted' by the congregation. They have a reputation and they put across some very convincing-sounding arguments and surround the whole thing with Biblical terminology. And the deception is harder to spot. (After all, if it were not "deceptive" then it would not be called 'deception'!) People see spiritual power operating and assume that it "must be God". But this is a very dangerous assumption to make in these days.
Pray with me; lord, through the Holy Spirit help me to always discern any form of deception organized from hell to derail me in Jesus name!
Have a prosperous week in Jesus name!

The disciples saw Jesus walk on the water and were scared (Mt 14:25-29). Peter cried “Lord IF it is you, ask me to come…” He wanted proper identification. Peter knew that the Lord usually commands the impossible and then makes it possible. If it was “his” Jesus, He would do just that. Peter challenged Jesus to challenge him. With it he touched the heart of God. And so will you. “Be bold, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you” and will bless you. Today. REINHARD BONNKE

WHAT IS FAVOUR ?

Now hear this: Favour is the supernatural flavour that spices a man's natural labour.
You may be highly anointed, talented, gifted or even blessed but not favoured.
Favour is what distinguishes a man from men, a business from businesses, a career from careers, ministry from ministries, result from results. It is the supernatural oil that greased an eagle's wings to soar higher than any other bird. It the supernatural boldness that makes lion king of all animals. It what gives a man supernatural speed in life.
Favour is not limited by age, stage, status or natural laws, when it comes upon a man natural laws are suspended. King David was the least but favour made him the greatest in his family, Esther was an orphan but favour made her the queen. Moses was a starmerer but favour made him a spokesman, Jesus was the rejected stone but favour made him the chief cornerstone because favour is that icing that decorated a man's cake in life. I prophesy to you in this month of favour, heaven shall release a flavour upon your labour. An icing upon your cake, decorate your business, colour your life, honour your destiny and crown your head in the name of Jesus. Can I hear Amen like thunderrrrrrrrr? BY EVANGELIST OSITA EDMUNDS

Victory mentality;
And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground - 1 Samuel 17:49
David stepped out onto the field of battle and killed Goliath with only a sling and stone. And like him, I want to help you defeat the Goliath you may be facing in your own life!
One way to start defeating those giants is to determine to do so! Any battle can be won by those who are persistent. But with that determination comes three things you’ll have to overcome when you decide to pick up your sling.
First of all, you’re going to have to overcome your fears. David had his eyes on the Lord. And when you put your eyes on the Lord, you’ll be able to stand before any challenge you face!
Second, you’re going to have to overcome the ridicule. I wonder how many believers have been laughed out of the victory they could have won for Christ. Just like David, you and I must learn to ignore the raised eyebrows and sarcastic comments made about them.
Lastly, you’re going to have to overcome your peers. There will always be people who say it’s impossible! But if you’ve been on your face before God and have determined what God wants you to do, you’ll be able to overcome your peers.
No matter what giant you may be facing today, you can defeat it with a steadfast determination and dependence on the Lord. Stand on this promise today!
Pray with me; Lord strengthen my faith for victory in the face of every life's battle in jesus name!
Have a victorious weekend!

GODS WORD FOR TODAY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES WEDNESDAY, 10TH JUNE.
STEER YOUR LIFE IN GOD'S DIRECTION...WITH WORDS.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21).
Everything God gave us is activated through speech—words. Many, however, don’t understand the power of words. The primary function of your mouth and your tongue is to steer your life in God’s direction for you. Remember what the Bible tells us about God in the book of Genesis ; it says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:1-3).
The first speech we notice from God wasn’t to somebody; rather, He started by talking to situations and circumstances. He was making things happen through the power of speech, showing us what we’re supposed to do with words. He wanted light and He said, “…let there be light,” and light came into being. He gave us the ability to speak so that like Him, we can call into existence the things we want to see in our lives and environment. Halleluiah!
Your words locate you; what you say determines where you’ll be in life. That’s the reason it’s so important for you to avoid talking negatively. For instance, when a Christian declares, “I can’t do such-and such,” he may think that only applies to the context of that particular statement, but it’s not so! That statement immediately works in his spirit and affects his divine nature.
This accounts for why some Christians are in a dilemma in their walk of faith. They think they know the Word of faith; yet they’re not getting the right results of the Word in their lives, and they wonder why the contradiction. The reason is that they’ve programmed too much negativism into their spirits which must be changed. And only the Word can make that happen.
Think and talk right. Talk according to the scriptures! Be sure that your words are in sync with the revealed Word of God always. That way, you’ll consistently make progress, and chart your course from glory to glory.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your glory in my life, and the influence of your Word in my spirit, soul, and body, and on my lips! By the power of your Word on my lips, my life is beautified daily; my mind is renewed, and I’m transformed from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

JOIN PASTOR CHRIS IN PRAYERS

@PastorChrisLive On Yookos
Prayer at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT) - Wed June 10
Speaking to His disciples in Luke 10:2, the Lord Jesus said, "...The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest"

For 15min at 12noon and 10pm (Local/GMT), we'll pray mostly in the spirit, and in accordance with this scripture. Pray that all around the world, more labourers, men and women of passion and deep convictions, whose hearts are after God, would be raised up for the work of the ministry, fulfilling the purpose of Christ. And that none who has been marked for this cause would be lost, but that they would fulfill their calling without reproach, to the glory of God. Remember to attend the midweek service today. God bless you.

WORDS OF WISDOM

n the Gospels people were awe-struck by the person of Jesus whenever they met Him. When that woman of the streets walked in and saw Jesus, she was shocked! She had loved many men, and then she saw Him. The purity, which she felt, that greatness, filled her soul with deep yearnings. She stood and poured out her inexpressible confusion of life in hot tears which, to her horror, fell on His feet, as if she had polluted that sacred Person. She hastily tried to dry off those unclean tears and could find nothing with which to do it except her lavish hair. Never had she had such an experience – she was looking into the eyes of the infinite Son of God. He was all that mattered – He was the End, the Peak of life, and she had found Him. Her lovers were empty wrecks, her old life a discarded earthenware pot. Glamor? There was no other glory now, only that of Christ, her Saviour. That’s Him, Jesus, our blessed Redeemer! “O, what a Savior…” Please tell me, if you love HIM. REINHARD BONNKE

Prayer and Motive.
"When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives." - James 4:3
How do you handle it when you are disappointed in the results of prayer?
The truth is that God is always faithful and His Word is 100% accurate every single time. Psalm 33:4 reminds us; “For the word of the Lord is upright; and all His work is done in faithfulness.” We, therefore, are dumbfounded in those times where our experience does not seem to match that truth.
You’ll find little argument from people about the importance of prayer. Most people pray. Everyone needs it. But the reality is, prayer is often disappointing to us. We don’t get the results we desire. Let me share with you why: It’s found in the Bible, in the book of James, as shown above. “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives.”
Prayer is not so much about asking God for what we want. It’s about discovering what He wants for us and finding the strength to do it. It's about praying His will into our lives.
Selfish prayers disappoint. Prayers to get to know God, to find strength and to do His will, bring tremendous results – sometimes even supernatural results. This kind of praying is powerful, because you get plugged into the ultimate power source – the God of the universe.
How is your prayer life? Is it fulfilling or disappointing? Remember to check your motives, for your heart is the key. Why don’t you take a moment right now and talk with God, just for the purpose of seeking His will. You’ll find your prayer life to be more fulfilling and powerful.
Pray with me; lord help me to always pray your will without any ulterior motives in Jesus name!
May your day be blessed in Jesus name!

WORDS OF WISDOM

The Bible tells us that God’s character is that of a consuming fire. Fire in Scripture carries several meanings, not always negative. Luke 3:17-18 (NIV) reads: “‘He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. And with many other words John exhorted the people and preached the good news to them.” As we see, fire means good news, not judgement. In the story of Ezekiel’s prophesying to the valley of dry bones, the bones came together and became an army of living men of flesh and blood. God breathed life into those lifeless bones. But there’s another way to deal with dry bones – by fire. Perhaps you have some bone china at home. It’s very fine tableware, and rings like a bell when you tap a spoon against it. Bone china begins as tons of old bones, ground to powder. That bone dust is mixed with white clay, which is then molded, shaped and decorated and passed through a kiln. Out of the fires then comes lovely pure white china to grace our tables. There are dry-bone Christians – bone-dry Christians, we would say. But when these spiritual skeletons, lifeless believers, are baptized in the Holy Spirit and get God’s fires in their very bones, they come out as vessels for God to take up in his purposes. The process leaves its pure, unmistakable and wonderful mark. Just like a potter using his kiln, God uses fire to produce his work. “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works” (Ephesians 2:10). We are his good work, made to produce good works. Don’t talk about burn-out. Talk about fire-transformation. It’s for you! God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE.
