HE'S THE SON OF GOD INDEED

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Monday, February 27th Pastor Chris
Topic: *He’s The Son Of God Indeed*
_*…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? (John 14:8-9).*_
There’re still many who don’t know who Jesus really is; to them, He’s a great religious leader. But Jesus isn’t a mere religious leader or reformist; He’s Himself God. You have to study the Word of God to discover this. In John 5:39, He said, ‘search the Scriptures, for they testify of me.’ The Scriptures testify of Jesus as Deity; He’s co-equal with God. John 1:1 says, _*“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”*_ This is talking about Jesus; He’s the living and incarnate Word.
A certain preacher told the story of a professor who came to his church on a Sunday morning. After the sermon, the professor came to greet him, and he asked the professor, “I hope you enjoyed the service?” The professor replied, “Yes I did, but I don’t really believe the things you preached.” Surprised, the preacher asked, “Which amongst the things I said was difficult for you to accept?” “Well, about everything,” replied the professor.
Then the preacher said to him, “Go and study the Bible for yourself; after you’ve read through, come back and let’s discuss.” The man took the Bible home and spent several weeks reading the Scriptures. After reading from Genesis to Revelation, he made an appointment to see the Pastor again. When they met this time, before the Pastor could say anything, the professor submitted: “Pastor, Jesus Christ is God!”
The Professor continued, “You told me to study the Bible for myself, and I‘ve done that. I studied from Genesis to Revelation; my finding is what I’m giving you: Jesus Christ is God.” He found out the truth. Glory to God! Jesus said, _*“I and my Father are one”*_ (John 10:30). In our opening verse, He said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.” He’s one with the Father; that’s the meaning of “Son of God.”
Son of God doesn’t just mean somebody born of God; it means one with His nature. You’ve got to come to that point in your life where you recognise that Jesus is Himself God. The Bible declares that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily; (Colossians 1:19, 2:9) He’s the complete embodiment of Deity. Hallelujah!
*PRAYER*
*Dear Lord Jesus, I worship and extol your majesty, for you’re the great King; the Monarch of the universe; the mighty God. I adore you for who you are; the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes dwell in you permanently. I’m forever grateful to be born with your nature, and life in my spirit; I worship you for this awesome privilege. Hallelujah!*
*Further Study:* *||* *John 1:1-5* In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. *||*
*||* *Matthew 16:15-17* He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. *||*
*||* *John 20:27-29* Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed. *||*

COLOSSIANS 1,KJV

Colossians 1King James Version (KJV)

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Friday, February 24th Pastor Chris
Topic: RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE
And the work of righteousness shall be peace… (Isaiah 32:17).
In the days of Moses, truth and judgment came together; and if truth bore testimony against you, you were judged on the spot. But it’s not so with the Gospel. The Bible says, “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven” (Psalms 85:10-11). In the Gospel, mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Greek word from where “justified” is translated is “Dikaioo” and it means to be acquitted and declared righteous. Which means since we’re justified, acquitted, declared righteous and have right standing with God by faith, we have peace with Him through our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, there’s no enmity between you and God; the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ has set you at one with God. That’s what the word “peace” or its Greek equivalent “eirene,” mean. It’s “to be set at one again,” to be brought into harmony, concord, safety, felicity, and security with God. There’s no need for you to be afraid that one day, God will recall all your wrongs and punish you as a result. No. You’ve come home to Him; you’re now at rest in Him through Christ Jesus. He made it possible; it’s the work or result of His righteousness that you’ve received: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace…” (Isaiah 32:17).
Being born again, you’re now one with the Lord; He’s brought you to Himself: “Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” There’s a oneness now. Glory to God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the oneness I have with you! Being justified by faith; acquitted and declared righteous, I have peace with you; your righteousness has produced peace in me, and for me in your presence; peace with prosperity! I revel in the divine harmony, bliss and joy that you’ve brought me into. Thank you for this awesome privilege, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

AN EXTRAORDINARY AUTHORITY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Thursday, February 23rd Pastor Chris
Topic: AN EXTRAORDINARY AUTHORITY.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) (Romans 5:17).
The literal translation of the word “reign” in the verse above is taken from the root word “Basileuo” (Greek), and it means to “king” or “be king.” It’s the verb of kingship. So, you could actually say, “They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall ‘king’ or ‘be kings’ in life.” They’re going to carry out the functions of a king; they’ll reign and rule in life. That means you have an extraordinary authority.
What you have to do is to learn about the authority you have. What’s the implication and extent of this extraordinary authority? What does this give you? It bestows on you the gift of righteousness; righteousness makes us masters. The Bible says the law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). He came with grace, and brought us righteousness as a gift. So, when you hear the Gospel and believe in Jesus Christ, you become the recipient and expression of His righteousness.
Jesus came to reveal and demonstrate the righteousness of the Father. Now, He gives you that same nature, ability, and authority to carry on His ministry, to reveal and demonstrate His righteousness. He gave you the authority to do it. You have the ability to unveil the will, purpose and character of your heavenly Father. What a life!
No wonder He said in John 20:23, “Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.” He’s made you the dispenser of His goodness: His mercy, grace, love, and righteousness. Remember, you’re an associate of the God-kind, in partnership with Him, therefore, it’s perfectly legal for the Lord Jesus to give you the authority (the same authority that He had) to dispense good things. You’re the expression of His glory, splendour, and divinity. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the extraordinary authority vested in me, to rule and reign as a king in life. I’m a dispenser of your goodness; I manifest your glory, splendour and wisdom; your righteousness is expressed through me today, and always in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

1 CORINTHIANS 1, KJV

1 Corinthians 1King James Version (KJV)

Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

SEE WHY YOU MUST STAND FOR JESUS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Monday, February 20th Pastor Chris
Topic: STAND FOR HIM.
Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellow helper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 8:23).
When God puts you in a particular place of work or business, His interest isn’t about your office, because that doesn’t count in His Kingdom. What matters isn’t whether you’re the Managing Director or Chief Executive Officer; it’s not about your rank or designation. What matters to God is how effective you are in using your office to promote His righteousness. He wants your passion for the Gospel, for which He sent His Son to die.
Everywhere you are, you ought to be busy for the Lord. If you stand for Him, He’ll stand for you. The Apostle Paul, in our opening verse, was commending the commitment of Titus and others who were with him on his missionary journeys. Paul was proud of their commitment to the Gospel. He said, “…they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.” What a testimony! They were the apostles of the churches, sent on missionary activities.
It makes no difference where you are, and what you do; see yourself as a sent one; a minister of the Gospel. Stand for the Lord. Preach the Gospel. Minister the Word to those in your world. The Bible says He’s made us “...able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life” (2 Corinthians 3:6). You’re an oracle of God! You’re His mouth-piece. Speak for Him! Do His work.
Arise, and shine for the Lord! Do big things for Him. Be bold. Be daring. Nothing should be terrifying or intimidating enough to keep you quiet. Preach the Gospel as though you’re the only one the Lord is relying on to do it. Be an activist for Jesus Christ, bearing His message of faith, hope, and love. Fuel your passion for the Gospel and keep preaching it with all fervour, for the end is near.
PRAYER
Lord, your Word is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations, desiring men and women around the world to come to the knowledge of the truth. I stand firm in the faith, unashamed and undeterred to preach the Gospel and spread your righteousness around the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Further Study: 1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

A DIFFERENT MIND-SET

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Friday, February 17th Pastor Chris
Topic: A Different Mind-set..
But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it (Numbers 14:24).
When God wanted to train and raise the children of Israel after bringing them out of Egypt, He used Moses. Why? The answer is simple: He needed somebody with a different mentality from what the children of Israel had. The children of Israel had the slave mentality, but Moses was different. He had been a prince in Pharaoh’s palace. You couldn’t take that away from him. Even though he had become a shepherd in the desert, he was a prince inside him; his mind-set was that of a prince.
When he saw the strange sight of a bush burning, and yet the thicket wasn’t consumed, he didn’t run away terrified. Instead, he said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt (Exodus 3:3). He was fearless. Two other Bible characters after Moses, with a similar mind-set are Joshua and Caleb. They had the mentality of champions; they thought as victors. Read again the Spirit’s commendation of Caleb in our opening verse.
When they were sent to go spy out the land God had promised the children of Israel, they didn’t deny that there were giants in the land. Howbeit, they saw the giants as “bread.” Their mentality was different. Whereas the other ten spies gave a faithless response when asked to describe the land, Joshua’s and Caleb’s response was from a standpoint of faith, inspired by a mind-set of victory. This is what the Word of God does in your life; it gives you a different mind-set; the mentality of victory and excellence.
The Word of God causes you to think and act right, because it’s the wisdom of God; it’s a force that propels you to do the will of God. The Word of God produces in you the wisdom (Greek: “Phronesis”) of the righteous (Luke 1:17). Some Christians, even though they’ve been made righteous, aren’t functioning with the wisdom of the righteous. They have a “carry-over” from the world. And that’s been their bane.
Don’t think sickness; don’t think poverty; renew your mind with the Word, and keep declaring what God says about you, irrespective of circumstances. That’s the wisdom of the righteous!

PRAYER
Dear Father, your Word causes me to think, talk, and act right. Your Word enriches me with the right mental attitude to situations and interpretations of those situations. I have the mind-set of the righteous; therefore, I display excellence, and triumph always in all things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Even ordinary faith produces outstanding people, though not all church members are notable examples of its galvanizing power. Some are still at the growth stage, where they declare they would go through fire and water for God – but only if it does not rain. Paul and Silas in Philippi, sick with horribly mutilated backs, had a celebration meeting in the pitch dark prison, and then conducted a baptismal service before they had recovered from their terrible mauling. That is not all, for we read that when they left, ‘they [that is Paul and Silas] encouraged them.’ Paul and Silas, battered and wounded, encouraged the brethren they left there (Acts 16:40). This is rather different from staying away from worship on Sunday, in case the cold, caught in the rain at the football match on Saturday gets worse; or to catch up with work that we did not do during the week when we were watching interesting nonsense on television; or because we feel tired. ‘They that honor Me I will honor’ says the Lord. Believe it and our habits will change – and our health! God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Monday, February 13th Pastor Chris
Topic: *Measuring Your Progress*
_*But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20 AMP).*_
Progress means advancement; moving forward. Progress must be measurable, otherwise, it’s not progress. You must have goals; if you don’t have definite goals, you may not be able to really measure your progress.
In making progress there’re certain things you must consider. First, locate your present position in that area of your life in which you desire to make progress. Is it in your health, finances, job, business, or your family? Whatever it is, locate your present position. Secondly, envision what the next level will be for you.
Thirdly, determine what you must do to get to your next level. That means your input in terms of effort, time, and resources. Resources could refer to money, materials, information, etc. Fourthly and finally, take action; do what you need to do to get you the results you want. Otherwise, your visions, goals and aspirations will fail and come to nothing.
I’m sure you already have clear-cut goals for the year; stay focused on your goals. Every now and then, pray in the Holy Ghost about your goals; this is so important, because it’ll guarantee your progress in achieving them. Our opening verse says, _*“But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit.”*_
This year, you’re going to make progress, and move forward in your life like never before, irrespective of what’s been happening with you or around you. It’s your time and season of advancement. And it’s my prayer that the Spirit of God will inspire and guide you to take the necessary actions that’ll cause you to have evident and unprecedented growth, increase, and prosperity in 2017, and beyond, in Jesus’ Name.
*CONFESSION*
*My life is like a well-watered garden. I’m fruitful and productive; making progress in every area of my life. I’m complete in Christ, and every facet of my life is perfected for excellence. The Spirit guides and inspires me to take actions that’ll guarantee evident, and unstoppable progress, increase and blessings for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

A LESSON ON FORGIVENESS FROM JESUS

Matthew 18:21-35New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[a]
23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[b] was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[c] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.
29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

REWARD FOR YOUR WORKS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Friday, February 10th Pastor Chris
Topic: *Reward For Your Work*
_*For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).*_
Everything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel isn’t only recorded (Malachi 3:16), the Lord also rewards you for it. So, you can imagine my joy decades ago, when the Lord showed me our theme verse. I had been told I was wasting my time; I had been told I was being foolish for preaching the Gospel and holding crusades in remote villages. I wondered if God really cared about what I was doing, but then I saw this verse and wept for joy. I praised, screamed, worshipped and made a jig for joy.
There’re times you’re about the Lord’s work and there seem to be persecutions from all angles. And then it’s as though you’re wasting your time, and wasting your life; at such times, always remember that God isn’t unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love. He’ll reward you for all that you do, and have done, in the propagation of the Gospel. He knows and will reward you for all your prayers for souls to be saved, your financial contributions to the spread of the Gospel, your personal evangelical efforts to win souls to Christ, and all your sacrifices.
What sacrifices have you made for Christ and the Gospel? It could be your time, money, family, friends and relationships you gave up, whatever it is, God hasn’t forgotten. Your blessing isn’t deferred until you get to heaven. It begins here on earth: _*“…Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life…”*_ (Mark 10:29-31).
Your reward isn’t far ahead; it’s closer than you think; be confidently assured that He’ll reward you in due time. Whatever you’re doing for the Lord, keep at it. You’re never a fool for your devotion to Christ. Others may call you so, but not God. So, keep riding on with the Lord, spreading His glory in your world, and in the regions beyond.
*PRAYER*
*I thank you blessed Lord, for the privilege and opportunity to participate in the propagation of the Gospel. I’m even more overjoyed knowing that all my services and sacrifices, in and for the Kingdom, are not in vain! I fan aflame my commitment, passion, devotion, contributions, and efforts, towards the expansion of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
*Further Study:* *||* *Revelation 22:12* And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. *||*
*||* *Colossians 3:23-24* And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. *||*

WORDS OF WISDOM

FOOD FOR THOUGTH

A bird born in a cage has no experience with the outside world. It knows nothing about the golden sun, the blue sky, or the lofty mountains. The idea of soaring freely among such beauty would seem like a cruel fantasy. But God wants me to say to you: beyond your cage of sin – the bondage and compulsion in your life – is a glorious world called The Kingdom of God, and it is no fantasy. It’s the real world you have never known – a world of sins forgiven, peace with God, and eternal life. The condition? Repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. That will be the moment your prison-door opens and you are released, saved, set free. Welcome to the Kingdom of God. God bless you. Please pass it on to encourage a friend. REINHRD BONNKE

FIND OUT THE BENEFITS OF MEMORIZING SCRIPTURES

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Monday, February 6th Pastor Chris
Topic: *Memorising Scriptures Is Good Spiritual Exercise*
_*This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).*_
Some Christians can memorise and quote many scriptures off by heart, which is commendable. Whereas, some others erroneously assume that memorising scriptures is no longer fashionable. With the introduction of different electronic Bibles and Bible software where scriptures can be located at the click or push of a button, many Christians have relegated the importance of memorising scriptures in personal Bible study. This ought not to be so.
Learning to memorise scriptures is a very fundamental part of good Christian growth and development. Even though you have easy access to electronic Bible reference materials, you must exercise your mind to retain the Word of God. Your mind is the doorway to your spirit (2 Corinthians 4:4). The Word of God has to be in your consciousness to produce results in your life.
When you have read your Bible, pick out certain verses and recite them by heart. This is the beginning of meditation, and the more you do this, the more the Word will get into your spirit. The same way you took time to learn and memorise things in school, you have to discipline your mind to retain scriptures. You can set a target for yourself for the rest of the year, to memorize at least one scripture per day, and measure your progress in it. You’d be amazed at the impact it’ll have on your life!
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for the impact of your Word on my spirit. As I meditate on the Word, and retain those priceless thoughts in my heart and consciousness, my profiting appears to all! I function always from a vantage point of victory, glory, success, and prosperity, where I reign and rule over circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
*Further Study:* *||* *1 Timothy 4:8* For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. *||*
*||* *Deuteronomy 11:18* Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. *||*
*||* *Jeremiah 15:16* Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. *||*

YOUR TRUE VALUE

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES, Wednesday, February 1st Pastor Chris
Topic: Your True Value
_*And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Luke 12:15).*_
Some people rate or value themselves according to the amount of money they have. So, always, they’re punching the calculator to know their financial worth. If your value is according to some money, then you’re putting your life at some great risk. How can you subject your life to the uncertain and ever unstable monetary system of the world?
Your true value is the Word of God that’s in your spirit. You’ve got to know and have the Word in you. With the Word in you, your success is assured no matter what happens around you. You’ll stay afloat like the ark of Noah that rose higher and higher as it rained and the waters increased, so that the same water that drowned others, buoyed him up. This shows that the circumstances responsible for sinking people’s businesses and careers today will be for your promotion!
What you need to live victoriously at every count in these latter days is the deposit of God’s Word in your spirit. If you deposit the Word in your spirit long enough, others will take notice of you and ask, “What manner of man is this?” because you’ll literally be “walking on water.” No matter the situation, you stay above only.
Colossians 3:16 says, _*“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”*_ Your confidence should only rest in how much of the Word of Christ you have in you, not how much money you have in your bank account. Remember, you become the Word of God that you receive into your spirit, and that’s your real value. As you allow the Word to dominate you, it’ll give you the mentality of a victor such that no matter what happens, you’ll remain strong and unfazed.
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, I thank you for showing me my true value in your Word. The entrance of your Word floods my heart with light and brings brilliance and beauty into my life. Your Word is deeply rooted in my heart and it grows, prevails and produces results in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.*
*Further Study:* *||* *1 Timothy 6:17* Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; *||*
*||* *Joshua 1:8* This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. *||*
