WORDS OF WISDOM

People want to see a living God at work in their lives. They want ideas from the Scriptures that work, things they can put into practice in their lives and begin to see changes. It will amount to a lack of integrity as a minister of God to speak to people matters about God without taking into consideration what the people are facing in their lives.
Jesus ministered to the needs of the people, he confronted the Pharisees of his day who were more concerned about keeping to the letter of the scripture rather than helping the woman who was bent backwards for 18 years. The Pharisees had no empathy for the woman while they argued on matters of doctrine. Jesus told them, the sabbath was made for man and not man for the sabbath.

Today i say, the scriptures were written to help man rather than to be an added burden to his existence. If we don't present workable thoughts from the Scriptures that will transform lives, people will be pressed to turn to self help techniques or even secretly visit with "prophets" who are transformed into angels of light to get their needs met while they attend our churches singing our songs.
