THE LAW IS WRITTEN IN YOUR HEARTS, BY EVANG. OSITA

Arm of the Lord Church Daily LIFe (Romans 2:1 - end)
(THURS. 8th Oct. 2015)
The Law is written in your Hearts
Text: Rom. 2:15
We live in the era or dispensation of grace, so anytime law is mentioned most Christians dismiss it to avoid controversy but the truth is that grace does not abolish the law. Law is older but grace is superior because it is the latest, update and upgraded version of an existing covenant, notwithstanding, grace compliments and fulfils the law (Matt. 5:17)
The Laws of the old testament is an image, shadow or representation of the real object of Grace in this new testament. That Law is God's word and Grace is Christ Jesus personified, so the law in your heart and the word of God in your spirit equals Christ in your life.
This is the salvation plan of God for both the world first to the Jews and to the gentiles as interpreted by Apostle Paul in his epistles to the Romans. The law was given only to the jews(deut. 6, vs 14-15) but extended to the gentiles through salvation and obedience to the law.
In other words, the laws of God are to be obeyed heartily not hypocritically. They are not for head knowledge only, but mainly for real life application in order to influence your values, character, attitude, culture, traditions and general way of life. So you are not a jew or christian by name alone but by your positive secret and open acts because Christianity is not just a religion but a way of life, that is first received with the heart before the head and through the hand and extended to another heart (Rom. 10:10).
3 applicable steps to write the Law in your heart:-
1. Reading, studying, knowing and meditation on God's word daily (Josh. 1:8, 2nd Tim. 2:15).
2. Doing, practicality and application of the revelation of God's word (Deut. 30:14, John 6:63). It is not the letters of the law in your head that makes you successful as a child of God but the law written and engraved in your heart.
3. Circumcision of the heart (vs 29, Deut. 30:6). This means cutting off of your "fleshy" heart to expose your "bleeding" heart. A "fleshy" (lustful) heart can not serve God because of selfishness, serving God is seen as either hard, stupid or useless, jobless and brings poverty(2nd Tim. 3:3-5). However, a "bleeding"(sacrificial) heart for God always want to love God, worship, praise and please him by doing his will always (Acts 10:22, 2nd Tim. 3:12). Until your heart is circumcised, the law can not be written in your heart and your will remain corrupted with the adamic nature. Circumcision of the heart is repentance from adam's nature(old ways, culture, systems and traditions of men)to christ's nature(new ways, godly life and traditions of God) heartily, seeking God daily as commanded in Matt. 6:33.
Finally, the law in your heart enables you to live a perfect life of grace as promised in Jer. 31:31-35, a life fortified and immune from judgement but justified in the righteous of God.
Prayer:
My heavenly father, thank you Lord for your grace upon my life. I ask for your word to dwell richly in my heart that I may continually do it in Jesus Christ name - Amen!
