THE EPITOM OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, BY PASTOR CHRIS

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **The Epitome Of His Righteousness** Monday, August 17th . Pastor Chris
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Notice carefully the choice of words, as inspired by the Spirit in our opening verse: Christ Jesus was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him! This is much more than being justified or made righteous by faith; rather, it means that we've become the very expression of His righteousness, and proof of His equity!
This is Christianity. This is the Gospel. We're the expression of His goodness; the expression of His grace! We're His outstretched hand of blessing to the world. No wonder He said to Abraham, "I will bless you and make you a blessing." The promise to Abraham has been fulfilled in us in Christ Jesus. Think about it: Abraham became God's blessing to the world, meaning that if God wanted to bless someone, he brought Abraham their way.
Now, that's what He's made us as well. We're the expression of His personality; everything the Father is, and represents, is expressed in and through us. The Lord Jesus made a profound statement when He said, "...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father..." (John 14:9). In John 10:30, He also said, "I and my Father are one." He expressed the will and nature of the Father. He's described for us in Hebrews 1:3 as the express image of the Father; the perfect imprint and ultimate icon of God; and we're exactly like Him.
1 John 4:17 says, "as He is, so are we in this world." So, like Jesus, we're the expression of the will and character of God. That's righteousness: it's the expression of the will and nature of God. Romans 5:17 says, "...they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." Which means you've been endowed with the ability to manifest, and express the will and nature of the Father everywhere: in every situation, in every event, and in every matter. Blessed be God!
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making Christ Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for me that I might become the expression of your righteousness, gifted with the ability to manifest and express your will and nature in all things, unveiling your goodness and excellence, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
Further Study: || Romans 3:21-22 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: ||
|| Romans 5:17-18 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
