Marriage is instututed by God, he designed it to join the opposite sex together. Adam never asked God for a wife. Eves creation was Gods idea. If u are seeking for a life partner, why not then seek the help and guidiance of the person, who originated the idea of marriage. Marriage is a holy ground, never treat it carnally, that might get u into a serious trouble. Marriage is instituted for the partners to help each other fufill Gods calling and responsibility in their lives. God already gave Adam an assignment before giving him a help mate. Genesis 2: 16. Is your husband to be on assignment for God?. Its only those who have devine assignment, that deserves devine help mate. Accumplishing devine assignment, is the spiritual and major reason for marriage. Marriage is first a ministry towards God. Other reasons for marriage is to have godly children. Psalm 68:6. Marriage is also for companionship . Eccl: 4: 1-12. Also marriage is instituted to help us abstain from fornication. 1 corin. 7 :2. Now that you know the initiator and the right reasons for marriage, you can prayerfuly take wise decision on who to marry.
